Coney Island History Project

1/1
Dedicated to preserving Coney Island in living memory

Founded in 2004, the Coney Island History Project is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that aims to increase awareness of Coney Island's legendary and colorful past while encouraging appreciation of the Coney Island neighborhood of today. With their mission to record, archive, and share oral history interviews, and to provide access to historical artifacts and documentary material through educational exhibits and events, here you are able to preserve your own memories by scheduling an appointment to record an oral history for their archive.

Located on West 12th Street at the entrance to Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park, the History Project is presenting virtual events via Zoom and outdoor exhibits at the Wonder Wheel and other locations in Coney Island free-of-charge for the 2021 season. You can now listen to Season 1 of the History Project’s Coney Island Stories on your favorite podcast app!
